FAQs

Can I modify Arkadian designs?

Yes! We can tailor our designs to suit your location, lifestyle and personal style. We often find it’s best to start with one of our plans, we can help decide which plan suits your vision and site location during our initial consultation.

Why do I need to book a complimentary consultation?

We start all our projects with a complimentary consultation to give you confidence and peace of mind in selecting the right land and home design for you and your family. Following our initial meeting, we book a complimentary on-site inspection at your future build site to gather all the information we need to start designing your dream home and provide an accurate price estimate. Our primary objective of our site inspection is to understand requirements based on the unique landscape of the area, which includes everything from assessing soil conditions, to identifying which home designs suit your desired orientation. After the price estimate have been accepted, we follow a simple step-by-step process to deliver your dream home from conception design to handover day.

I love the beach, but which side of the Island is right for me?

The island is famously renowned for its beaches, bordered by the Bass Strait on one side, and the Bay on the other. While both beaches provide breathtaking views and are perfect for mid-summer strolls, the arctic winds rolling in from the Bass Strait are synonymous with locals during winter, but a major draw-card for surfers who travel across the country to surf at famous beaches like Smiths Beach, Surf Beach and Cape Woolamai Surf Beach. The calmness of the Bayside is perfect for those with young children who would like to relax as their little ones paddle at the shoreline. We’d recommend venturing down to Cowes Main Beach, Ventnor Beach and of course Silverleaves Beach to see if you can spot a penguin or two!

I love my sport and live an active lifestyle, what can Phillip Island offer?

Phillip Island boasts a series of major and local events held throughout the year, set amongst breathtaking coastline backdrops. With Go Karting, scenic walking trails and famous surf beaches right on your doorstep, a sporting fanatic will be spoiled for choice! Favourite water activities enjoyed by locals include jet-skiing, fishing and surfing. Phillip Island is home to a world-renowned Grand Prix Circuit, holding the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix (MotoGP) and Superbike World Championship (as well as various Australian series). You can also bring the family down and go head-to-head on Go Karts on the circuit! The gorgeous walking trails attract tourists and locals alike, no matter the season. Journey to Ventnor and walk along the clifftop track to marvel at stunning views of Point Grand, Pyramid Rock and The Nobbies (which also hosts a wonderful museum for children).

I’m a bit of a foodie, where do the locals go?

Slow down and take in the scenery at The Foreshore restaurant in Rhyll, taste locally-grown wine varieties at Phillip Island Winery in Ventnor or grab an expertly-made coffee at Mon Dieu in Cowes. There’s also the much-loved Northern Pier Hotel that’s a favourite for a casual bite.
